So much fun!

Jay Jay is so much fun! He really is a joy and although he's not even quite 6 weeks old yet, I can't seem to remember what life was like without him. (Not to mention what it's like to get a full night's sleep!) But he is so worth it. He gets fussy in the evenings so we're trying to determine if it's colic or reflux or just him fighting sleep. He has smiled for us a few times while awake...before he would just smile in his sleep. He is very alert and loves to check things out. He especially likes ceiling fans. I went to the grocery store right around the corner from us last night to just pick up a couple of things and it was the first time I had left him since he's been born. It felt weird! He is definitely growing...a lot of his newborn outfits are getting small now . He's becoming a little chunky monkey! Here are some recent pictures:

Jay Jay is 3 weeks old!

He is doing great! He can already roll over halfway - from his side to his back and from his back to his side. I can tell he is growing and changing already. He sometimes smiles in his sleep. We took him with us to go vote yesterday...he was the youngest one there! Jay Jay wasn't very happy about how the election turned out though. I haven't posted in awhile so here are a bunch of photos to make up for it...

We're home!

It feels good to be home. We are completely smitten with our new little boy! He is a good baby...only cries when he's hungry or if you're changing him. We are so blessed! Here are some photos that were taken at the hospital. I have more pics to upload from the camera later.

Intensity...Increasing.........FAST!!!!

Hello again! Obviously, this is Priscilla...coming to do another update on our stay at Baptist Hospital East. It is 6:00 PM right now, and JJ still isn't here. Maaaan! However, my Mom's contractions are increasing in pain, and FAST! I wasn't allowed in there for a while, until the contractions calmed down a bit. Once again I am in our room, updating the Wilson family blog, and waiting for the arrival of my little bro all at the same time. I am a multi-tasker. LOLz...yay me! lolz. Earlier the nurse came in and told Mom that the intensity of her contractions were off the charts for a little while, then they calmed down.

My Aunts and Uncles aren't here yet, so its just me, dad, mom, g-ma and g-pa ryt now. Aunt Megan is on her way though, and I think she's bringing my cousins: Zack, Samuel, Micah and JoJo. I don't know if my Aunt Audie is coming yet or not. But I will keep posting.

No pictures yet....sry. But there's not too much to take pictures in the hospital. Unless if I took a picture of the non-lit room we are in right now, or of Grandma which I doubt she would let me (lolz). Same with the rest of my fam that's here ryt now. So I guess I'll just try and keep posting during the whole thing since Mom put me in charge of keeping people posted. Signing off!

Water Broke!

Guess what?? The doctor just broke my Mom's water! The doctor's name is Dr. Miller, and she's pretty nice. JJ's heart rate is usually around 145 or so, and after contractions it goes down some then pops back up. Mom had like 4 contractions in a row, and that's when the heart rate went down for like 1 minute. But then it went back up. The nurse came in and told us if it happens again and happens for a longer period of time, then they might have to do a C section. I hope they don't though. I can see Mom's contraction monitor and the baby's heart rate monitor thing from here. The contractions are getting more regular and more intense, according to the monitor anyways. LOL! I hope that JJ's heart rate doesn't go down much anymore. I am like.....PSYCHED about being a big sis! :D Oh! I forgot to tell you, my Grandma and Grandpa are here now. So its me, Mom, Dad, G-ma, and G-pa who are waiting on the arrival of my little bro so far. My 2 aunts and 2 uncles on my Dad's side are supposed to come later on. I don't know if my aunts and uncles are coming here or not, but I hope so. I also hope that Ashley, my BFF can come some time after JJ is born. I will post some more later, maybe even with some pictures of the monitors and stuff...maybe even a BABY if he is born yet lolz :D. If he isn't born yet, then I might post some pics of my family and me maybe. But idk. Bye 4 now!

I'm SOOOOO Excited!!! :)

Hi people! This is Priscilla...and this is my 1st blog post on this blog....yay! Okay, so we are currently at the hospital. They just hooked up Mom's IV stuff like the fluids, pentacillin and pitocin (which I havent heard of until this day :D). I cannot wait to see JJ! I picked out an outfit for him a couple months ago and bought it, then Mom said that it could be the outfit he comes home in...yet another YAY! I am super-excited and hope that it doesn't take very long....but the nurse says that with inducing it usually does. Maaan! I will try to keep everything up-to-date on the blog while we are at the hospital, like photos and videos maybe. Signing off!

Being Induced Tuesday Oct. 14th!

That is, if I don't go into labor before then. My doctor is going to go ahead and induce me due to my blood pressure going up and the growth restriction it can cause for the baby. Please pray that all goes well!

Ugh...

Well, all the chili got me was heartburn. My contractions stopped around 10:00pm last night. A little after midnight, my blood pressure must have spiked again because I got hot, developed blurry vision again, along with a massive headache. I like to think that I have a pretty decent tolerance for pain, but that headache had me in tears and lasted for hours. It was worse than the one I had earlier. I barely got any sleep last night.
I've been reading about Gestational Hypertension and Preeclampsia, and with either one there's a good possibility of being induced. Maybe that's what my doctor will decide to do after my appointment this afternoon. We'll see.

Went to Labor & Delivery!

No baby yet though. We just went in for monitoring this afternoon. I called my doctor's office because I started feeling really weird this afternoon. All of a sudden, I got really hot, my head was aching, my vision became blurry, and I felt as if I was going to pass out. The triage nurse at my doctor's office told me over the phone to go on in to Labor and Delivery so they could monitor me. Apparently, for some reason, my blood pressure went up. It still wasn't really what you would consider high for most people, but it was high to me because my blood pressure is normally very low. Anyway, they monitored me and my blood pressure went down. The baby's heartbeat sounded great. They did bloodwork and it was all perfect. They had to stick me in both arms and finally my hand to draw blood because my veins were not cooperating. While they were monitoring me, I was having contractions every 2 to 5 minutes, but they were still pretty mild. The nurse told me to come back when I could feel them. I said, "Uhhh...I can feel them NOW!" She said come back when they get more painful and I have to breathe through them. So now we're back home and just waiting. I have a follow up with my doctor tomorrow afternoon. I ate a spicy bowl of chili tonight in hopes that it might coax him out! LOL Think it will do the trick?
