Jay Jay says "Hi!" & Priscilla cooks...

Priscilla chose Home Ec as her elective for homeschool this year. We're doing a unit on cooking now and I must say she is becoming quite the chef. So far, she has made homemade mac & cheese, homemade soup, cookies, and a cake from scratch. Her next assignment is to make a pie and then homemade bread. Then she moves on to making complete meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Here she is taking her cake out of the oven...These two photos of Jay Jay are for the boys...Samuel, Micah, and JoJo. He got dressed up in a camo outfit and says he can't wait until he gets bigger so he can play with you guys in "The Land of Doom"!

Here's a short video clip of Jay Jay saying "Hi" to his sissy!

Jay Jay's 3 month check up

Jay Jay had his 3 month check up yesterday. He weighs 12 pounds 15 ounces and measures 24 inches long. So he has almost doubled his birth weight and is 4 inches longer than when he was born. The only issue we're having is that he has had diarrhea for a few days (going 6-8 times a day!). The dr. seems to think it's viral and just needs to run its course. Jay Jay acts like he feels fine and shows no other signs of being sick. He is eating good and does not appear to be getting dehydrated. We're going to give it until Monday and if it's not better, we will go back to the doctor. He got his vaccines yesterday so he was kind of cranky after that. It was funny, after the first vaccine he showed the nurse his fist! LOL
Jason's truck broke down in Etown the other day...he thinks the clutch went out. If that is the case, it will cost around $500 to fix. That is all we need right now! Hopefully we can find the right person to fix it. Business has been slow lately, but should pick up in February as Valentine's Day approaches, I hope!

Baby Dedication

We had Jay Jay's dedication at church last night. It was so wonderful. I was afraid he would be fussy because we had a very hectic day and he only had a few short cat naps instead of a good long nap. He was so tired though, that he slept through the praise and worship and woke up just in time right before we were called up front. He didn't fuss at all. It meant a lot to us to have family members there for this occassion. When Pastor Bob called us up, he said, "Will Jay Jay Wilson please bring his mom and dad and family up front?" LOL We all went up front and Pastor Bob annointed Jay Jay with oil and we all prayed together. He said Jay Jay was dressed up like a preacher and said Jay Jay will have to come preach for him when he gets big! :) We feel so honored that God would loan us this precious Gift to teach, train, and love. Jay Jay truly belongs to God, we are just blessed to be his parents. I can't wait to see what God has planned for his life. I pray that Jason and I will be directed by the Lord to help Jay Jay discover and develop his God-given gifts as he grows.
Priscilla is thinking about joining the choir at church. I know she would love it and be great at it. We talked to the choir director after church yesterday and he said they would be glad to have her join. She would be the youngest and smallest one, but he said they'd find a choir robe to fit her! :)
We had our first "big" snow of the winter last night...if you can call 2-3 inches "big"! It was pretty as the snow was falling last night, but I hope it doesn't stick around for long.
Here are some pictures of Jay Jay's dedication last night and some other fun photos...

He was not very happy in his Santa suit...I couldn't get him to smile. (He hates wearing hats!) He still looks adorable in it though!

Monday, Monday

Today my hubby is 38! I gave him a card and gift this morning and I will make dinner tonight with a pecan pie for dessert. We had a nice weekend. The kiddos and I went to a craft store on Friday because I wanted to look at some boy-themed scrapbook paper (all my stuff is girly!) and right there in the store, Jay Jay produced the messiest poopy diaper known to mankind. I asked an employee if they had a changing table and she said no. She offered to let me change him on her counter but I didn't think that would be a good idea! My only other option would have been to strap him back into the car seat and take the stroller back out to the truck and change him there, but it was too cold for that. So I saw a long folding table they had set up in the store for people to use for scrapping or beading and no one was using it at the time, so I asked if I could change him there and the employee said sure. I always carry my own changing pad to lay him on when changing him...so, I proceeded to change the massive mess of a diaper and discovered it had leaked through his onesie and his clothes! So here I am stripping my kid down naked in the middle of the store! I'm sure I got some looks, but I was intent on getting the task done as quickly as possible so I didn't notice. I had Priscilla to dispose of the dirty diaper (ah, the joys of being a big sister!). Then once he was changed, he was hungry so I nursed him right there too (covered, of course!). Then as I was trying to get him to burp, he spit up quite a bit which dripped down in a puddle on their floor, so I cleaned that up. Finally, I figured we had done enough damage in that little craft shop and it was definitely time to go!!! I went to my sister-in-law's on Saturday to do some scrapbooking. I only got two pages done because Jay Jay was fussy, but it was nice to get back into scrapping. I hadn't done any scrapping since he's been born so I was just itching to do some pages using photos of him! Priscilla stayed there to spend the weekend with her cousins and she will be coming home today. Jason was actually able to take Sunday off so we slept in and went to the late service at church. Then we went out for lunch and Jay Jay napped while we ate, so it was *almost* like a mini-date! LOL Then it was back to church so Jason could attend a men's meeting at 4:00 and then the evening service started at 5:00. I'm looking forward to next Sunday's evening service...that's when Jay Jay is going to be dedicated! I just hope he doesn't get fussy or spit up on the Pastor or something...LOL! My mom and stepdad are coming for that & I have not seen them in almost 3 months so I am excited about seeing them.

Here's a new Jay Jay pic (12 weeks old):

Stomach Bug

The nasty stomach bug that has been going around has now hit our house. Priscilla started feeling bad yesterday and started throwing up last night. I have had cold symptoms for a couple of days but no stomach issues so far. I pray that Priscilla gets to feeling better soon and hopefully the rest of us can keep from getting it, especially Jay Jay. Priscilla is still asleep right now so I'm going to let her rest and hopefully she will feel better today.
