April Showers

It seems like yesterday was the end of March and now today is the last day of April already! It's raining today and I have to go to Wally World...not a good combination. I hate unloading groceries in the rain. After that, Priscilla and I will do some school work and I need to clean, do laundry, and cook baby food. Then Priscilla has youth group this evening.
Priscilla is getting over a cold and a throat infection that started last week. I'm normally not one of those moms who runs their kids to the doctor every time they have the sniffles, but with all this talk about swine flu, I figured I should take her in. Scary stuff. She is fine though and finishing up antibiotics. While we were at the doctor, I had them weigh Jay Jay and he is up to 17 pounds now so he's gained a pound in the last month. He is sitting up pretty good now...still falls over sometimes. His first tooth is through now and I think his second will be coming through soon.

Dollar Day @ the Zoo

Last Sunday was $1 admission day at the Louisville Zoo in celebration of their 40th anniversary. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go after church. Little did we know just how crowded it would be, how hard it would be to find parking, and how long we'd have to wait in line. It was pretty hot so the lions and tigers were sleeping and the gorillas were sick, but we got some photos of some of our other favorite creatures. All in all, we had a fun day despite fighting the crowd. It was a good opportunity for some inexpensive family fun.

Easter Pictures

We had a great Easter! Our church service was awesome that morning. Then we went to Dan & Audre's for a wonderful evening. I should have taken a picture of all the food we had. It was delicious! I made my mom's sweet potato casserole, peanut butter pie, and dressed eggs plus there was lots of other yummy stuff that Meagan and Audre prepared. The kids had an egg hunt but I didn't get any pictures of that because by that time, Jay Jay was wiped out so I stayed inside to get him down for a nap. Priscilla looked so pretty and grown up in her Easter outfit. Here are some pictures...

Easter weekend...

He is risen! Praise God! I hope everyone has a fun-filled and blessed Easter weekend. And while you're celebrating and feasting and egg hunting, don't forget the "reason for the season"! Since I haven't posted pictures in awhile, here are just a few. Hopefully I'll have some cute Easter pictures of the kiddos with their loot to post next week too.
